On February 3, 2007 at Exploris Museum in downtown Raleigh, NC, my friend Supriya Desai's students gave an approximately half hour performance of classical Indian Bharatanatyam Dance. It was part of India Day at the museum, with the key event being the dedication of a life-sized statue of Mahatma Gandhi (you can see my pictures and video). (For now, I just have the short videos. I hope to have edited pictures soon; if not, I'll simply add the unedited ones.)
To view this movie, you need to have an MPEG1-capable player like Windows Media Player or Quicktime installed. If you're having problems, double-check that you have the very latest version installed. We do not recommend Real Player, as it seems to be prone to error. If you'd like to save this movie, right-click this link and choose save as. Then you can play it at larger sizes, etc.
